We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Roma Vaticano. It was a perfect boutique hotel for our family of 4. Loved the area and the walking wasn’t bad to many locations. The only negatives I would say is 1. The bathroom tends to get a moldy/sewer type smell in the evening/night time. I thinks it’s do to absolutely no fan in the bathroom. 2. Our heating cooling unit wasn’t working most of the time so the room was very warm or ok a rainy day it was quite cold. I would definitely stay again though and recommend to others.
Pros: friendly staff, modernised rooms, walking distance to main sights or close to metro if not happy to walk Cons: zero soundproofing. You are able to hear other guests talking in their rooms, showering, and can even hear their phone alarms going off! Door buzzers and door slamming of people coming in and out constantly also very loud. Earplugs a must!! Drain issue in the bathroom so constantly smelt really badly. No view at all, just a tiny courtyard and windows of other apartments.
The hotel is set in a charming old building with a small elevator and is located in a neighborhood near Vatican City. It is within easy walking distance of the Vatican and has metro and bus stops nearby and plenty of shops and restaurants in an area. The staff was kind and welcoming and while the bathroom could use some refurbishment, the overall experience was comfortable and very convenient thanks to the excellent location.
Old building. Tight elevator . Nice neighbourhood. Prati. Not cheap. Lots of shops and good restaurants. Mix of tourist and local residents area. Around 1 km North East of Vatican. Walkable to Vatican and big river, metro and bus stops
