Description

Welcome To Rome offers a journey through 2,700 years of the city's history using multi-projection technology. Walls and ceilings come alive while a large illuminated model on the floor shows Rome’s evolution over the centuries.

The 27-minute presentation creates the illusion of flying over the city as it changes through time, passing by monuments, palaces, churches, and squares. Following the main show, visitors can explore four large interactive models featuring the Imperial Forum, Augustus Forum, Mausoleum of Adrian, and St. Peter’s Basilica.

The experience is located inside the former Cinema Augustus and is accessible to visitors with disabilities. The show runs continuously throughout opening hours, allowing visitors to start at any time. An audio guide is available in nine languages: Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Croatian, and Japanese.
