Experience the Ancient Roman Domus with multimedia and VR in Rome, suitable for history and archaeology enthusiasts.

Begin your visit with a 25-minute multimedia video inside the Touristation Office, showcasing Rome's key monuments including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, St. Peter's Basilica, Castel Sant'Angelo, Circus Maximus, and Ara Pacis. This introduction provides context before you explore the Domus one hour later.

Using a VR headset, immerse yourself in the virtual reconstruction of the Domus, admiring rooms, decorated walls, mosaics, peristyles, kitchens, baths, furnishings, and decorations. This virtual tour brings to life an important area of Ancient Rome, linking its ancient, medieval, and modern history.

You will also see a virtual reconstruction of Trajan's Column, offering a close-up view of the bas-reliefs that depict Trajan’s military campaign and the conquest of Dacia (modern-day Romania).

FOROF Experience: Archaeology and Contemporary Art

Enhance your visit by booking the FOROF Experience, a cultural project founded by Giovanna Caruso Fendi that combines contemporary art with archaeology. Located at Palazzo Roccagiovine near Trajan’s Column, FOROF preserves colored marble pavements and remains of the Basilica Ulpia (2nd century A.D.) in its hypogeum spaces.

The FOROF exhibition includes 'Nimbus Limbus Omnibus' by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi and a site-specific project by a Viennese collective, engaging in dialogue with the archaeological site.

An olfactory experience, FOROF ESSENZA, developed by perfumer Laura Bosetti Tonatto, recreates the spirit of the place, reflecting a cultural and social story about freedom.
