- All visitors must pass airport-style security; waits up to 30 minutes can occur during high season.
- The tour is fast-paced and may not suit those with walking difficulties.
- Visitors must have knees and shoulders covered in the Sistine Chapel and Basilica.
- Bags larger than 40x35x15 cm, tripods, and large umbrellas are prohibited inside the museums and must be left in the cloakroom, which is a 20-minute walk from the tour endpoint.
