Description
Visit the dark and haunted side of Rome on this guided ghost tour. Explore the paranormal 'hot spots' using dowsing rods. Follow your local guide down the narrow streets haunted by the souls of heretics and witches burned at the stake.
Start the tour at the front of the Castel Sant'Angelo Castle. An ancient tomb converted into the Pope's fortress, Castel Sant'Angelo used to be the darkest place in Rome.
Next, cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo Bridge to mainland Rome and visit where the most notorious executioner of Rome once 'worked.' The ancient prison for women is next, followed by the home of an infamous poisoner.
Then, take a stroll down Giulia Street to the head church of the Brotherhood of Mercy, a band of friars that carried out public executions. Visit the place where John Paul Getty III was kidnapped back in the 1970s.
Finally, finish your tour at Campo de' Fiori, Rome's liveliest square, where thousands were executed in the most brutal ways.
