Description
The tour visits two key Etruscan sites north of Rome, showcasing an ancient civilization known for advanced metalwork, sculpture, and pottery that influenced early Rome.
First, explore the Necropolis of Banditaccia in Cerveteri, one of the largest Etruscan necropolises dating back to the 9th century BCE, featuring thousands of tombs. Entrance includes access to the Museo di Cerveteri. The visit lasts around two hours.
Next, the group travels to Tarquinia to explore its famous Etruscan Necropolis and the city itself. Optional visits to local museums are available at both locations, each taking about one hour. A lunch break is possible in Tarquinia.
The tour returns to Rome between 5pm and 6pm, allowing ample time to fully experience the UNESCO-listed necropolises, the city of Tarquinia, and optional museum visits.
