Indulge in an exclusive food and wine tasting inside a 1st-century AD Roman cistern in Trastevere, one of Rome’s authentic neighborhoods. Cantina Fabullus offers a historic and intimate setting for sampling traditional Italian delicacies with expertly paired wines.
You can choose your preferred tasting time: 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, or 7:00 PM. Note that the selected time refers only to the start of the tasting, not the river boat ride.
The tasting includes seasonal, artisanal products supported by Slow Food Presidia to protect culinary heritage. Experienced staff guide you through the menu, explaining food origins, pairings, and wine tasting techniques.

Tiber River Boat Ride
Enhance your tasting with a 45-minute boat ride on the Tiber. Departing every 30 minutes from March 28 to November 2, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, the cruise passes Isola Tiberina and Ponte Sant’Angelo piers.

How to Reach the Wine Tasting and Boat Embarkation
Cantina Fabullus is located at Via dell’Arco di San Calisto, 20. The closest pier is Isola Tiberina, about a 10-minute (700-meter) walk from the wine cellar. Alternatively, board at Ponte Sant’Angelo pier, ride to Isola Tiberina, then walk to the tasting venue.
Recommended route: board at Sant’Angelo Bridge Pier, present your voucher, and enjoy the ride to Isola Tiberina Pier.

- Arrival policy: Arrival within 15 minutes of the booking time is allowed; later arrivals are considered no-shows with no refund.
- Tiber River ride: Operates daily March 28 to November 2, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, departures every 30 minutes.
- Ticket allows one boarding; recommended boarding points are Ponte Sant’Angelo and Isola Tiberina.
- Provide a valid phone number and inform about any food allergies or intolerances when booking.
- If the river ride is canceled due to weather, a €16 per person refund applies.
