We checked in at 9PM after a long train ride from Bolzano to Rome. First off, the hotel had 3 different entrances, which made it confusing. When I walked into their lounge entrance, there were two staff standing by the bar and stared at me without asking if I needed help. There were multiple accounts of poor hospitality: - the receptionist didn’t give us 2 key cards even - we found out after checking in that the body soap was not refilled and informed the receptionist about it. She said that their cleaning staff was out for the night so we would have to wait until morning. I had to ask her if she could give us any substitute like hand soap. - next day, the body wash was not refilled again. And there was bits paper trash on the bathroom floor. Fortunately, it was our last night there so we didn’t bother asking them. I can’t believe this hotel was marketed as a 4 star. For the price we paid, it was upsetting to receive such bad hospitality. During check out they didn’t ask how was our stay. Also, when I walked to the restroom, the barista just rushed pass me as she was heading the same way towards the kitchen. The interactions I had with the staff at that hotel were the most bizarre experience. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated this way even at a 2 star hotel. The walls were thin so I could hear noises from the hall and also the streets. The placement of the closet in the room and the water leaking from the shower door caused some inconveniences and just made the stay felt cheap and dingy. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.
Had only lunch here and really enjoyed the experience. I had a pasta dish accompanied by a glass of wine, and both were excellent. The wine was especially good, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. A special mention goes to the complimentary bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar—it was absolutely delicious and a lovely touch. Friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, and great value. I would definitely come back when I’m in Rome. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience at Rome Times Hotel! We recently stayed here and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and situated in a perfect location for exploring Rome. And the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city!
There's a lot to love with this hotel. The location is great, just a few blocks walk to the Colisseum and other Palatine Hill sights, across the street from the Palazzo Esposizioni Roma art museum, and close to restaurants and shopping. Our room was spacious and clean, with a fully stocked mini fridge. And the rooftop terrace was a great place to relax with a beautiful vista of the Eternal City. The best thing about Rome Times Hotel, however, is the staff. It starts with the bell staff, which took care of our luggage when we arrived before our room was ready ... and had everything already in the room once it finally became available. The wonderful front desk clerk gave us a great restaurant recommendation for lunch and answered every question and request we had with a smile and the housekeeping staff seemed to straighten up our room literally every time we went out. Although we didn't get to sample the on-site restaurant for dinner, it seemed like a lively place -- with live music on Saturday night. And the breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of hot, cold, savory and sweet options!
The overall appearance and location of the hotel is beautiful. The rooms were okay however, it advertises there is AC and there was not. When we asked about it the staff said it was “seasonal”. We literally could not sleep with the heat. We also had our 1.5 year old daughter who was sweating the entire night. When we tried opening the windows we heard yelling and cars so it was a loose, loose situation. With that being said that wasn’t our biggest issue, it was that we left a couple items, and reached out in several different ways and have been told they would contact us and they never did. It has been almost a month. Overall not happy with our stay.
