Location, location, location! Last minute booking and we are so happy our other hotel recommended Hotel San Valentino! Excellent location with very short walks to the train and shops and restaurants in Prati. Beautiful historic hotel; very clean and the receptionists were so kind and helpful, especially Ahmed and Usman, who both spoke English and were extremely helpful with booking the high speed train and calling taxis. The only small issue we had with the room was that it had a musty smell when we arrived, but we opened the window and aired it out and it wasn’t an issue. To be somewhat expected with an old building. There is a restaurant next door that was very convenient for breakfast and cappuccinos.
My mom and I had a great time in Rome and the accommodations were part of it. The beds will be a bit on the harder side, but the room was spacious enough and clean. Now service from beginning to end was spectacular. Alvin was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful when we needed information. Add fat as location, the Vatican is within a walking distance, there are plenty of places to get coffee, breakfast, dinner, and the metro station is right around the corner.
