From there, venture into the surrounding forests and rolling hills, where the experience truly comes to life. Walk alongside an experienced local truffle hunter and observe the unique bond between handler and dog as they search for the delicate aroma hidden beneath the earth. Discover how truffles grow in their natural environment, how the dogs are trained to detect them, and why this rare ingredient has earned its name as “white gold” in Italian culinary culture. As you explore, your guide will share insights into the ecosystem, seasonal varieties of truffles, and the traditions that define life in this region.
