Front desk service was 5 star quality. Location is subjective, in the heart of Trastevere which is full of tourists and locals so it's busy and loud but also energetic/lively and around many great restaurants and bars. If that's the vibe you want, then it's great. Not great if you wanted something quieter or closer to main tourist attractions.
We stayed at Donna Camilla Savelli in June for my wife’s 40th birthday and it lived up to our expectations completely. The hotel was booked as a surprise for her and she was blown away upon arrival. It’s a truly beautiful place to stay and the staff really helped me organise a holiday to remember for my wife. Edoardo in particular was very helpful on email, arranging private transfers (beautiful cars!) and setting up the private motorboat tour of the Tiber for us as well. The courtyard is a tranquil space to enjoy breakfast or evening drinks, although the birds are very brave and will take your food. Not much staff can do about that though! We had a deluxe double room and were very comfortable, although we had a minor issue with our electricity at one point which resolved itself. The hotel is in a great location and is only a short walk to Ponte Sisto to start your journey into central Rome. Thank you Donna Camilla Savelli for helping us celebrate a milestone birthday!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a 36-year-old solo female traveler, safety, cleanliness, service, and location are especially important to me. Donna Camilla Savelli exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is perfect—very central, yet peaceful and quiet. I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout my stay, making it an ideal base for exploring Rome. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The courtyard and garden are true hidden gems where you can enjoy a morning coffee, a delicious meal, or an excellent Prosecco in a truly unique setting. Every moment spent there felt special. One of the most remarkable features is the hotel's own chapel. How many hotels can say they still have one? It adds an extraordinary sense of history and character that makes the property unlike any other. My room was elegant, spotless, and exceptionally well maintained. The service was outstanding throughout the hotel—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every member of staff contributed to making my stay memorable. Donna Camilla Savelli perfectly combines history, beauty, comfort, and hospitality. It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in, and I would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended.
