We had a very nice stay overall. We booked a four-person loft room with one bed downstairs and one upstairs. It looked nice, but the loft was noticeably warmer, the stairs were very narrow, and the mini-split A/C shut off every morning around 6:30 a.m., so we had to turn it back on. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the shower was excellent. The bathroom could use a little more shelf space. We had two minor maintenance issues (a slow-draining shower and a broken door latch), but both were fixed promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good, and the hotel coffee was better than the café next door IMO. The location is convenient and walkable, though Uber pickups were easier from the corner because the hotel is on a one-way street. There's also a pharmacy next door, which was handy. We also used the hotel's airport and cruise port transportation service. The pricing was reasonable, communication was excellent, and both drivers were friendly and professional. Overall, a great stay with only a few minor inconveniences.
Stayed 3 nights here! Highlights were the delicious breakfasts! Attentive service for breakfast each morning, she remembered one of us needed gluten free items and brought them to us each morning, even before we asked for it! The central location- we were able to walk everywhere! When we needed a taxi, the hotel would call for one and they would arrive within minutes! Very convenient! Room was quiet, very hot water in bathroom.
We had a great experience at Hotel City -Palazzo dei Cardinali. A typical Roman palazzo with a warm decor at the heart of Rome. Within walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit : Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, via del Corso, Campo dei Fiori, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Colosseum, Trastevere... Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome and valuable tips for our stay. All personnel at the reception were welcoming and helpful, so were the two young ladies at the breakfast area. Breakfast was good, especially la torta della nonna! Highly recommended especially for hospitality and excellent location!
We loved our stay at this hotel. Firstly the location is excellent, short walk to Spanish steps and trevi fountain, it is also on a street with gorgeous boutiques. We had no issues during our stay. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. Plenty wardrobe space and a super cute bathroom. The air conditioning was great and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice and accommodating; they even set up balloons for my sister which was really kind. The interior of the hotel is very chic, especially the breakfast dining room. I hope to visit Rome again and I would absolutely stay here
Had an amazing stay at Hotel City. Isabella at reception gave us such a warm welcome on arrival and really started our holiday off perfectly. She provided so much helpful information and was an absolute joy to speak to. I’m so glad we booked the Superior Double Room — it was perfect for us. The room was beautifully designed, a great size, and had a lovely view overlooking the street. It also wasn’t noisy at all, and the location was ideal for exploring Rome. All the main attractions were just a short walk away. A big thank you as well to Yakoob at concierge, who was incredibly friendly and helpful when we arrived. He helped us get sorted with everything we needed and welcomed us warmly at the entrance. We will definitely stay here again.
