All visitors must pass through airport-style security. During high season the waiting time for security and the elevators can be longer. The Basilica of Saint Peter is closed on Wednesdays Mornings and during religious holidays. Please note that during the Jubilee year the Basilica of Saint Peter may observe different unexpected closures.
