Description

Experience a night of opera and elegance high above the rooftops of Rome. Enjoy the most beloved arias and duets by Verdi, Puccini, and Rossini on the stunning Terrazza Borromini, perched atop the historic Palazzo Pamphilj. Gaze out over Piazza Navona and admire Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers, directly below you in all its splendor. Savor a glass of fine Italian wine and sample regional cheeses and cold cuts as you're serenaded by a live soprano and tenor, just steps away. After the concert, you'll be guided to the Rooftop Terrace 'La Grande Bellezza', where scenes from the Oscar-winning film were shot. From here, take in a 360° panoramic view of Rome’s most iconic monuments—St. Peter’s Basilica, Castel Sant’Angelo, and more. Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, history, and breathtaking views. __________________________________ Timeline of the event: • 5:00 PM – Private and exclusive entrance to the open-air Terrazza Borromini at Palazzo Pamphilj • 5:15 PM – Aperitif on the terrace • 5:30 PM – Opera concert with soprano, tenor, and piano (with an introduction in English to the musical program) • 7:00 PM – Guided tour of the Rooftop Terrace 'La Grande Bellezza' Aperitif includes: • White/red wine or non-alcoholic drink • Selection of Italian cheeses with honey and marmalade • Variety of Italian salami Note: The Borromini Terrace is enclosed and heated during winter months for your comfort. Agnese in Agone Church. The palace was built in 1644 by the architect Borromini for the Pamphilj family, during the pontificate of pope Innocenzo X Pamphilj, who wanted his private apartment in this Palace. The building is an authentic wealth of art, with masterpieces of famous artists like Guercino. The Palace has a beautiful Courtyard with an old well and the belltower with the mechanism of the huge watch visible from Piazza Navona. The terrace “ The Great Beauty” offers a one-of-a-kind view: you will see S. Peter’s Basilica, Castel S. Angelo, the Pantheon, the dome of S.Ivo alla Sapienza, Trinità dei Monti and Piazza del Campidoglio. A breathtaking view that will show you all the skyline of the eternal city. __________________________________ The program is subject to change, but have a sample of some of the arias and duets you might hear our talented artists perform: • E lucean le stelle (Tosca), Giacomo Puccini • Vissi d’arte (Boheme), Giacomo Puccini • La donna è mobile (Rigoletto), Giuseppe Verdi • O soave fanciulla (Boheme), Giacomo Puccini • Giusto ciel (L’assedio di Corinto), Gioacchino Rossini • Vesti la giubba (I Pagliacci), Ruggero Leoncavallo  • Libiamo nei lieti calici (La Traviata), Giuseppe Verdi
