Description

Depart from Rome for a journey to discover three sacred places in Umbria. A comfortable minivan will pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Rome and take you to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. You will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Porziuncola, a place of prayer. With your local guide, you will explore the medieval streets, the Basilica of St. Francis, and the Basilica of St. Clare. Finally, together with your tour assistant, you will visit the church that houses the body of the blessed Carlo Acutis. As free admission is available, entry will only be possible if waiting times allow, depending on the number of visitors at the time. After the tour, you will have free time to enjoy lunch. The tour will continue to Roccaporena, the birthplace of Saint Rita, where you will discover the places linked to her life, including her birthplace. Finally, you will reach Cascia, where you can visit the Basilica that houses her body and the Monastery dedicated to the 'Saint of the impossible.'
