Description

Roman Forum, Palatine, Colosseum, Imperial Forums, Capitoline and Theater of Marcellus With all my passion for Rome, we will walk and talk about the history of Ancient Rome to understand the evolution and context of the monuments we see today, all explained by archaeology, history and art history. We start with a brief introduction on the timeline of Rome's history, in a café or walking, and the main features of its art and architecture. Why, when and how everything was built will be discussed and contextualized. Then we go to the sites and pass by and analyze the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, the 5 Imperial Forums, the Capitoline Hill square, and finish at the archaeological area of Theater of Marcellus, Temple of Apollo and Porticus of Octavia. Understanding why all that was built is an incredible journey we will do together, in a personalized way to your interests, pace and time, with a great passion from my side to provide it and make us understand how Rome developed from a hut village to most incredible and magnificent city the world has ever seen. *Different times are available (just drop me a message) ! *The Experience does not include going inside the monuments or tickets for that.
