Hotel Monte Cenci
Rome
Reseñas
The Hotel Monte Cenci was truly a gift for us during our stay in Rome. Our room was lovely, The hotel itself has such rich history and character, and it is maintained so beautifully. We also found the upstairs terrace to be a very relaxing spot for drinks. The manager, Paolo and the front desk staff, in particular, Simone, were all very pleasant and very helpful arranging, taxis, dinner reservations and helping with directions of city locations. Speaking of location, The location of the Hotel Monte Cenci was perfetta for us. As Rome was a bit warm during our stay, we utilized taxis to and from the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Borghese Gardens, and even to the e-bike rental to ride the Appian Way—all very taxi-friendly! It was also wonderful to be able to walk across the Tiber to lovely Trastevere and to Campo de' Fiori. The location is primo! It is not in a congested area next to the Pantheon, but rather in a beautiful and quiet area. And you will enjoy Rome's Nasoni water pump just feet from the entrance. We hope to vacation in Rome again soon and make The Monte Cenci our home once more. With warm regards, Harold e Sean
the people that work in this hotel are amazing at the desk , room service , bar staff they are all amazing the room is perfect and they are all so helpful !! especially the young lad working at the bar at night he made my day multiple times ,,, not that this is the hotels fault but the only problem for me was the locals around the area are very very rude, it seems to be all of rome not just this area though! , we went into the supermarket opposite and spent £50 twice and had the receipt thrown at us and treated very badly with 0 respect ,, we also tried going to the restaurant down the road called baghetto where the staff were rude and told us we can’t eat there because we’re english whiteys , we then proceeded to another restaurant where we managed to get food and they charged us 20 euro over the price of the stuff we ordered , 2 £12 pizzas and 2 £5 cokes ended up being £54 just a word of warning about anyone thinking of coming to rome if your english be careful but this hotel is amazing and verry supportive and im sure they can help point you in the right directions like they did with us !
Do not miss out on this hotel! It is our last night in Rome and Hotel Monte Cenci will be difficult to leave. Our room was beautiful and clean (a Junior Suite with a tub, shower, sitting area, and king bed); the service was spectacular (patient with us first-timers); and the location was truly unmatched. The staff arranged a romantic surprise on arrival in celebration our first wedding anniversary and were all incredibly attentive, helping with recommendations, laundry service, and more. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome after a long travel day from the US. We made the switch from a different hotel that advertised as "best location in Rome" and are so glad we did after watching many travelers rolling their oversized luggage down cobblestone streets. Hotel Monte Cenci's location allowed for easy taxi drop off and pick up; walkable bars, shops, and restaurants; and gave us easy access to the bohemian neighborhood of Trastevere. Additionally, the hotel conveniently has a bar on the roof as well as a breakfast option. Next time we find ourselves in the Eternal City, rest assured we will be booking with Hotel Monte Cenci!
I scoured reviews of hotels for so many hours trying to find the perfect place to stay and couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay Hotel Monte Cenci! From the time we checked in Cecilia was extremely welcoming and even coordinated with house keeping to let us check-in to our room early, which was so appreciated after traveling and being awake for over 24 hours straight! The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and rain head shower with great water pressure! Its location is very convenient to walk to all the main attractions and Trastevere, but it’s located on a quiet side street, so it wasn’t loud at night. An added bonus to our stay was the nice free breakfast spread which is served on the rooftop terrace! We also went up there both nights for Aperitivo which was lovely to soak up the gorgeous weather! We would definitely stay here again!
Our room was reasonable for two person and the cost. Very clean with good breakfast. Staff are amazing! Extremely friendly and helpful. The director (Paolo) recommended multiple restaurants and restaurants can were great Roman food. He or staff made reservations for us which made our lives so much easier. Location is just great. Central location at Jewish Ghetto, 1-2 miles away from main attractions, close to the river, close to Campo De Fiore, etc. We walked everywhere. Very safe place.
