We had a wonderful experience at the 47 Steps. We only had a few bags, so the steps up were not a problem, and the staff was quick to answer our questions when we called. The room was ready for us, and had a very sweet balcony with complimentary coffee and snacks, which were so appreciated. We visited Rome during the extreme heat warning, so the air conditioning and the nearness from the train station were saving graces! We walked the city easily, and enjoyed a choice of restaurants for meals. We were able to leave our bags after check out free of charge, and walk around before our train, saving us from lugging suitcases through the streets in the heat. We would highly recommend the accommodation for a single person or a couple- the room may be small for a family, or two rooms would be needed.

Almost directly opposite the Via Masala exit of Termini station. The accommodation was clean, quiet and exceedingly comfortable, although the a/c was a bit noisy. Complimentary water and snacks in the fridge. An iron and ironing board (including de-ionised water!), two umbrellas, thick towels and plenty of toiletries and accessories. We only stayed for one night as we were en route to the airport the following morning. Yes, areas around stations are generally a bit seedy and rough, but this accommodation was literally across the road. There were several good, local restaurants within 3-5 minute walk. We ate at the very popular (with locals), La Famiglia dal 1968. We would definitely stay at this accommodation again, when we return to Rome.

We two old women arrived at the Roma Termini train station around midnight and felt perfectly safe making the short walk to the hotel. There are police and a couple of restaurants with sidewalk seating along the way to add comfort. The after hours check-in process was new to us, but it went smoothly. Be forewarned that 47 Steps refers to the number you have to walk up to the hotel (there is no lift) but the steps were not tall and there is a solid railing to help, even with our 45 pound suitcases. The room was warm when we arrived, but opening the windows cooled it off pretty quickly. The room is comfortable, if not fancy, and the bathroom is very modern and clean. It worked perfectly for us in a pinch when our flights changed and we needed to get to Rome early.

Obviously you need to climb 47 steps to get to it. But its very welcoming once you reach this hotel. Beds and pillows were super comfy and staff was very helpful and responsive.

Comfortable, clean, quiet room right across the street from the train station provides easy access to the airport. Veronica and Rudia were very helpful and communicated everything we needed to know. Would definitely stay here again.
