Our stay at B&B Trastevere was our second B&B Hotel experience, and at this point I can say that they offer very affordable rates yet do not skimp on value and service. From the hospitality of the staff (special thanks to Jerry and Elsie!), the breakfast offerings, the service of the cleaners, the quality of the rooms (basic yet well-maintained and most especially, CLEAN!), you really get your money's worth. I look forward to staying in another one of their hotels again next time we are in Europe.
We had a great welcoming check-in and an amazing checkout. We were checking out at 3am in the morning and were surprised by an incredible service from Derek. He made us feel so well taken care of. Convenient location and very clean and comfortable rooms.
The stay was absolutely perfect! First, we arrived before check-in (around 11 AM instead of 2 PM). Our plan was to leave our luggage, explore the city, and come back later, but since the room was already ready, they kindly let us check in early at no extra cost. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the lobby host was incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning. The room was spotless, and the shower had amazing water pressure and plenty of hot water. There’s also a supermarket just one minute away from the hotel, and since the room has a mini fridge, we were able to do a small grocery run. We also asked if we could use the plates and microwave in the dining area, and they had absolutely no problem with it. We really appreciated that, since it helped us save quite a bit on food during our stay. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. The location is a little farther from the city center, but there’s a stop right in front of the hotel, making it very easy and convenient to get around. The best part was the check-out experience. They let us stay in the room until 2 PM at no extra charge, and even after that, they allowed us to stay in the dining area to eat before leaving. We’re genuinely so happy we chose to stay here. Rome hotels can be extremely expensive, and this place was such a great value. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to come back to after a long day exploring the city, this is an amazing option. Thank you so much, B&B!
I am here for the third time AND for a week on business matters and I doubt if I will come again. In my email I have asked for a nice and quiet room and I was given room number 409, very small, old, worn, to the front street where the tram goes.I reminded them of my email and then after one night, they changed my room to room 403, this room “is newly renovated”, BUT: the mattress is very saggy and worn-out. How can you call a room “renovated” and then have a saggy and worn-out mattress? I had a terrible night, but I need to stay here for a conference and 5 more nights, because we are a group here on business and all stay in the same hotel. Yes, they did not charge me the higher price for the room, but any price is too much, if you hardly sleep. Disappointed. I will complain again today at the reception (again). Let’s see if they put a better mattress in a room which they call “newly renovated” for my remaining 5 nights…. This is really annoying, when you pay money, and you are given a room labeled as “newly renovated”, your also expect a decent mattress and not something saggy… UPDATE: They told me that they have changed the mattress. I do not feel much difference, however, I appreciate the effort, so one star more as regards to „service“. Among my group who is staying here for 5 days, we know that there are big differences in quality between the rooms. 💁♀️
Loved my stay at BB Trastevere.. The staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was MUCH better than expected, with good quality bread and coffee, cheese, fruit, yogurt, ham, and scrambled eggs. The room was small and cozy, quiet. It was cold in Rome and the heating controls sometimes felt unresponsive so I did feel cold a couples of times during the night, that's my only complaint. The hotel is a bit far from all the action but the trastevere train station nearby, tram stops, and bus stops all over make it easy to move around.Overall would definitely book again.
