Excellent staff. Sofia on reception sorted rooms close together on arrival, she went out of her way to help. Perfect location. Taxis v easy. Pool great in city centre to cool off.

The Mercure Roma Centro hotel was a perfect getaway! The rooms were clean and pretty spacious. There was enough space for everything, including a lot of wall sockets. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast and it ran for a couple of hours which was great. The rooftop bar and pool was also great. The only downsize is that the pool closes early and there’s not a lot of space due to how busy the pool does get, especially at the end of the day. Check-in was easy as well as check out and the staff were pretty kind. The only downside was the key card had to be taken to the reception multiple times since it would stop working, that would be the biggest downside of the stay. The location was perfect five minute walk to the Colosseum and 20 to 30 minutes, walking to the Trevi fountain and pantheon. Overall, I would really recommend this hotel and I’ll definitely be back.

Great location, and the staff is professional and courteous. That said, our room and, especially, our bathroom was exceptionally small. For a single business traveler, this might work if the location is convenient. But for a couple it's just way too cramped. For starters, the bed is queen size, which is unusual for Italy. Outlets are in scarce supply - there is a single one on one side of the bed, with a non-functional USB port on the other side. The shower is tiny. And the price is not what you would expect for a Mercure hotel.

Great location and great staff. Stayed here 4 nights in July and the room on 7th floor was very nice and quiet. The staff of the hotel is always friendly and they arranged for us to see a World Cup match at the rooftop bar overlooking Colosseum. Had a very nice stay here

Location location location. The location cannot be beat. You can see the colosseum as you leave the hotel. And the view from their rooftop terrace is incredible. The rooms are small but functional. We had their breakfast which had all the basics - scrambled eggs, breads, cereal, etc. They have hairdryers in the room but no irons/steamers. There is a communal ironing room on the first floor that I used and had no issues. The front staff is very helpful. When our colosseum tour was cancelled, the young lady at the front desk (Miloni? Michele?) quickly arranged a tour with another company and saved the day! Would definitely recommend.
