Reviews
I’ll start with the positive. The service is great, the beds are comfy, and the rooftop is amazing. The downside? Room is very small, and for 2 people with 4 suitcases and no closet or dresser to unpack things, it was super crowded and the constant in and out of suitcases got old FAST. If you aren’t the type to want to unpack in the hotel, this won’t bother you, but it drove me insane. Second, they have these showers that look like something out of a space movie. The reality is they are absolute garbage. Our drain didn’t drain, the water has two temperatures - Antarctica cold or surface of the sun gives you third degree burns hot. But hey, it has cool LED lights and jets that harbor God only knows what. It’s also in the middle of the room, so steam from the shower heats up the entire room. I’ve never taken such short showers in my life and I love a good shower. Just throwing this out there for anyone considering this place.
We spent 15 nights in this hotel, and it was okay. It was clean, and the housekeeping came every day. Could maybe use a little decor update. The Frig didn't work, but we didn't really need it. The bathroom was fine for us, Clean and looked like everything was fairly new. Shower was great, plenty of hot water. The staff was great and friendly. Yes, the elevator was small and old, but never an issue. Terrace on roof was nice. Close to the Vatican and St. Peters and most attractions. Breakfast was okay, but only ate there twice, would get a breakfast at a cafeteria down the street. Lot's of good places to eat nearby, and a couple of grocery stores to get snacks. I appreciated Giuseppe (I think) recommending a private car to take us to the airport for only 5 euros more than the Taxi, and we got a nice driver and nice Mercedes.
Stayed here for 4 nights and it was the perfect choice for us Room: Clean, with A/C and heating comfortable beds, bedspread big enough without fighting for the covers ;) Breakfast: Coffee, Tea, Juice, Sweet and Salty food. Something there for everyone Rooftop Terrace: Beautiful view over the Rome, especially St. Peters Basillica Service: so helpful, accommodating and always friendly. Thank you! Location: Great. Bus and Metro not far, lots of good restaurants nearby, of course the Vatican City is a 12-15 mins away :) Will definitely stay here again when we come and recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Relais Dei Papi. The service was excellent, breakfast was delicious, and the location was very nice. It’s really close to the Vatican as well as a metro station. Our only complaint are the beds. They are very hard.
Just back from a lovely stay! The hotel was spotlessly clean, lovely spacious rooms and the reception staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooftop area is very nice and gives fantastic views of Rome! It’s in a good location with just a short walk to the Vatican. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend to others!
