Quality beds and room, but for a 5 star hotel I expect the service to be better. We ordered breakfast for our room in the 8:30-9am block, and confirmed transportation with the hotel for the airport for 9:15a. We intentionally didn’t go out in the morning to get breakfast knowing it would come on time… it did not. We left for the airport hungry and with nothing more than a “sorry”.
Wonderful boutique hotel in a fantastic location for tourists. The area felt incredibly safe day or night. Staff were accommodating and helpful, and a large portion of the tourist attractions are walkable from the location. Some of the rooms are on Via del Corso and are consequently exposed to all of the city noise that comes off the streets, ranging from sirens and buses to fighting drunks at 4am. We booked our room category because it had a couch that could be used while we worked (as could the table) and with the thought we'd be able to use the couch also for viewing the news. Unfortunately the TV could not spin around to be viewed from the couch, and the couch did not have ready access to power supply for working. The current marketing/merchandising plan has the mini bar full, as well as the entire desktop covered with in room impulse purchase items. For those of you with power hungry devices, the outlets weren't particularly conveniently located, except for overnight charging. There is plenty of Italian centric eating and shopping nearby, as well as two Carrefour express markets that are 6 minutes walk away for sodas, snacks, etc. Note that there is not a taxi stand immediately nearby, and the train station isn't really a walkable distance if you have luggage. Be aware it is not a common practice to "flag" passing taxis in Rome so having a plan for getting to and from the airport and/or train station is advisable. The hotel can certainly call a taxi for you, but that can entail additional fees (on the taxi meter) for the driver to get to your location. Overall we loved the hotel in the heart of Rome and tried to extend our stay by an additional night but it didn't work out for us.
