Reviews
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely return. The property is charming, well maintained, and in an excellent location for exploring Rome. One of the highlights was the reception team, who were always friendly, professional, and very willing to help. They were happy to answer questions, provide recommendations, and assist with anything we needed during our stay. The cleanliness was impeccable throughout our four nights, and our Superior Double Room in the main building was comfortable and perfectly suited for our stay. We did not try the breakfast, but it looked very good and seemed to be well received by other guests. As I understand it, the hotel has two annex buildings in addition to the main property. We stayed in the main building and had a very positive experience. Overall, when considering the combination of location, service, cleanliness, comfort, and value for money, this hotel offers an excellent balance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back on a future visit to Rome.
Had a wonderful stay at Charme Spagna Boutique Hotel. The location was perfect, walking distance to so many must-visit sites in Rome including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon. There were also endless dining and shopping options nearby which made exploring so easy. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially assisting me with my luggage and getting everything up to my room. As a solo traveler with heavy bags and flights of stairs, that level of help was truly appreciated after a long travel day. The room was always very clean, and I was also able to check in hours earlier than the standard check-in time, which made such a difference after traveling. Thank you again to the wonderful staff for the hospitality!
I’m giving this hotel two stars only because the staff was polite and tried to help. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay overall. The room was not the one we had paid for. It also smelled strongly , which made the stay very unpleasant. We had specifically requested a double bed, but instead we were given twin beds that separated in the middle and were extremely uncomfortable. Another major issue was the air conditioning, which was permanently set to cold mode. If you felt cold, there was no way to warm up because there were no blankets, heaters, or any alternative provided, even after we asked for something. In addition, the bathroom was not properly cleaned by housekeeping. The cleaners only changed the towels but did not actually clean the bathroom. There was also absolutely no soundproofing in the hotel. Every night we could hear the people in the neighboring rooms very clearly, and because of the noise we were unable to sleep until around 3 a.m. For the price we paid, the experience was very poor and definitely not worth the money.
Fantastic stay in Rome with an unbeatable location. Just a 5-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, and most major tourist spots are easily accessible on foot. Via del Corso for shopping is right around the corner, which was super convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary coffee and snacks available 24 hours were a lovely touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed at the hotel middle of March 2026, our stay from start to finish was perfect. We honestly could not have asked for anything more. I emailed before we arrived to advise it was my partners birthday, they kindly left a bottle of prosecco with some chocolates on our bed - This was a cost of £15 but I was able to pay before we got there so he wasn't aware and it was a cute addition. The location was amazing, it was close to everything - bus 3 minutes walk tramline maybe 10 minutes walk but a pleasant walk. The breakfast was small, but everything you need - Toast, bacon, little sausages, pancakes, fruit, coffee, pastries and the little courtyard was heated so it was love to sit out and chat with other guests. The room was spotless, rooms and towels changed daily which was lovely. The mini bar was complementary which was a lovely addition. There was a little area outside our room (in the annex) with bottled water, snacks and a microwave all free of charge which again was a lovely addition. There is a restaurant a couple of doors down, Trevi Pizza which we went the first night and again on our final night as it was so lovely. I will review that separately but for something so close to the hotel it is my advise to try it out while you there. We stayed in the Annex and were a road facing road and it was a little noisy, but nothing that woke us up or caused us any distress but the church bells were cute but I could see why some would complain. If you are this centrally located it is going to come with noise but it wasn't a nuisance at all just the hustle and bustle of city centre accommodation.
